In March 95....only 3 months after I got the car I started looking into replaceing the motor and transmission for more power. I found a junkyard in La Habra Ca that had a new 3.4 and transmission out of a 94 Lumina Z34 coupe that the owner flipped over with only 9000 miles on it. I went to the Pontiac dealer and spent countless hours measuring and looking around in the engine compartment of a new Grand Prix with a 3.4 motor in it. Clearences looked good and the task of buying the new 3.4 motor and tranny and ripping the old 2.8 engine out began.
